As we close our “Call for Light” art show until next December we want to give our Community Partners an opportunity to answer questions about how they serve the incarcerated. This is a free event over two days.

We invite the Portland Public to come see the “Call for Light” gallery show and speak with people and organizations working within the justice system and with people impacted by it to make great changes.

The roster of speakers and program schedule will be updated by 1/15/2023

I love networking with my peers, meeting the other brilliant creative minds that spends days and days tucked away in their quiet studios. I love sharing stories (both good and bad) about our distinct and unique lifestyle and creating a community around our wildly diverse network.

Please join me at my favorite community table (Second Floor of Past Lives Maker Space) for beverages, snacks and the opportunity to meet likeminded people.

Bring a snack or a drink to share or just come as you are - this event is open to all makers (full, part-time, hobby) and designed as a way to build community in our somewhat isolated fields.

We will feature two ooky spooky campy and amazing movies (TBD) while sitting 'round in our community living room. Snacks, popcorn, baked goods and so much candy provided.

This event is open to everyone however the movie choices are likely not recommended for children under 9.

Gather ‘round my friends- the nights are getting longer and it’s time to huddle around our community for light, laughter, and warm food.

EVERYONE WELCOME! This is a BRING YOUR OWN BOWL event.

Stone soup is a community meal built by all members contributing one small thing to a giant family pot.

Each month we will have a vegan and chicken soup base.
Participants are asked to contribute to the meal by bringing something to add to our soup bases, either veggies, herbs, or simple proteins. By all contributing to the pot we make a rich and delicious community meal.

Please bring one of the following:
A vegetable or an herb or two to add to the soup
or
Bread and butter
or
Something Sweet

Drinks and light snacks will be provided - laughter and community included, free of charge :)
